Sputnik was born at the dizzy heights of Wycombe Summit Dry Ski Slope back in the winter of 1999/2000. Here Sputnik quickly became involved with the UK dry slope scene, gaining a great reputation for a friendly shop vibe, amazing products and the best honest advice around. Sputnik still stands and takes pride in its reputation. Thanks to all our customers and hard work, we are one of the few rider run and rider owned shops continuing to bring you freshest in snowboard technology and those hard to find items, all with a big smile and at great prices.

Our previous location at Wycombe Summit suffered a massive fire on 22nd November 2006...The fire totally destroyed the premises and is now just home to wildlife! However...We are very happy to announce that Sputnik has risen from the ashes like a phoenix and is now in its NEW home in Marlow, Buckinghamshire.

We have a strong Snow and Skate team that consists of some of the best riders around. Tom Smith and Kat Miller are our Snow Team members and Alistair Freeman, Justin Moore, Nico Cartensen and Charlie Smee complete the Skate team. Check out their rider profiles in our Sputnik Team section.

At Sputnik, we don't have pre-built snowboard packages, instead we custom build you the perfect blend of board, boots and bindings to suits your exact needs. So not only do you get the correct gear to take you up the hill with you, you get exactly what you want!

If you are looking for a bargain on hardgoods, clothing or accessories then please just ask! We usually have a small selection of last season’s goodies at discount prices. Saving you some pennies to put towards your trip to the MOUNTAINS!

After your trips to the mountains or if your a regular rider back home on dry/indoor slopes, its worth looking after your snowboard by keeping it serviced. If you keep your board serviced regularly is will last so much longer.

We have a servicing workshop with fully qualified technicians that spend their days dedicated to tuning your snowboard to perfection, no matter how battered it gets, it always comes back looking like new! Should you ever want to get into servicing your own equipment, we are always able to give advice on tools needed and techniques to use!
